PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Ea By-Pass Oil Filter (EaBP) provides the best possible filtration protection against wear and oil degradation. Working in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter, the AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filter operates by filtering oil on a “partial-flow” basis. It draws approximately 10 percent of the oil pump’s capacity at any one time and traps the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters can’t remove. The AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter typically filters all the oil in the system several times an hour, so the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.

Intake System Design
Air intake systems serve several important functions. Primarily, they are used to increase the amount of oxygen available to the engine and reduce air turbulence increasing power. Because cool air has greater density than hot air, aftermarket intakes improve combustion of fuel by capturing cooler air from outside the engine compartment. In addition, an aftermarket air intake system increases the diameter of the intake as compared to the original equipment, increasing air flow into the engine and making more oxygen available during the combustion process.

By designing a more direct route for the air entering the engine, as well as a smoother interior surface for the intake, air resistance is reduced and air flow is increased. To protect the engine from damaging dirt, cold air intakes are also equipped with filters. Air intake systems can improve gas mileage and increase performance, and they also add a sleek, custom look to a vehicle.

New Aluminum Billet Oil Fill and Oil Filter Caps for BMK21 By-Pass Filtration System
aluminum_bp_parts_300px
AMSOIL offers by-pass components (sold separately) to ease the installation of the BMK21 By-Pass Filtration System in three popular diesel engines: the Ford 6.0L Power Stroke™, the Dodge 5.9L Cummins and the General Motors 6.6L Duramax.

Engine compartments are becoming increasingly cramped, leaving little room for after-market additions and improvements. The BMK21 is a single remote by-pass filter system that fits into much smaller spaces than the AMSOIL Dual-Remote By-Pass System.

Ford 6.0L/6.4L Power Stroke™ Diesels
To ease installation of the BMK21 on 2003 and later model Ford pickups equipped with the 6.0L and 6.4L Power Stroke™ diesel engines, AMSOIL offers the new Aluminum Billet Oil Filter Cap (BK1101), the Aluminum Billet Oil Fill Cap (BK1102) and the 90-degree JIC Elbow (BP242, two recommended) (all sold separately). These new high-quality billet aluminum caps replace the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) filter cap and oil fill cap. The new caps have holes tapped in them that accept the JIC elbows for hose connectors.

Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Cummins Diesels
To ease installation of the BMK21 in later model Dodge pickups equipped with the 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins diesel engine, AMSOIL offers the 1/8" NPT - 1/4" JIC fitting (BP241), the Aluminum Billet Oil Fill Cap for Dodge 5.9L Cummins diesels (BK1301), for 6.7L Cummins engines use (BK1302), and the 90-degree JIC Elbow (BP242) (all sold separately). The BP241 fits onto the existing plug on top of the OEM full-flow filter mount, and the addition of the BK1301 eases the installation of the oil return line.

General Motors 6.6L Duramax Diesels
To provide GM Duramax owners the same ease of installing the BMK21, AMSOIL is now offering an oil filter “Sandwich” adapter (BK1201).

The Sandwich adapter is an anodized billet aluminum adapter that screws on to the present full flow oil filter nipple located on the engine block. The full flow filter is then simply spun on to the adapter. The Sandwich adapter has an orifice to provide high-pressure oil feed for the BMK21. Like the other diesel applications, AMSOIL now offers an Aluminum Billet Oil Filler Cap for (BK1202) to ease the installation of the oil flow from the BMK11 back to the engine. To complete an installation, the following components must be purchased separately:

1.Aluminum oil filter Sandwich Adapter with o-ring (BK1201)
2. Aluminum Billet Oil Filler Cap for GM Duramax (BK1202)
3. Two 90 degree JIC Elbows (BP242)
4. Single Remote By-pass system (BMK21)
5. By-pass filter (EaBP90, EaBP100, or EaBP110, as space dictates) (all sold separately)

Higher Efficiency
AMSOIL EaBP Filters have an efficiency of 98.7 percent at two microns. At normal operating RPMs the EaBP Filter will filter all of the oil in a typical five quart sump in less than 10 minutes.

Superior Construction
The superior construction of AMSOIL EaBP Filters provides better sealing and increased longevity along with superior corrosion resistance. AMSOIL EaBP Filters have a marine powder coated exterior; and their zinc-dichromate base plates increase rust protection. EaBP Filters have a nitrile HNBR gasket and an orange silicone anti-drain valve. The two stage pleated and layered cellulose/full synthetic media has an efficiency rating of 98.7 percent at two microns.

Longer Lasting
When used in conjunction with AMSOIL motor oil and an AMSOIL EaO or Donaldson Endurance™ filter, the EaBP90, 100 and 110 Filters should be changed every other full-flow filter change up to 60,000 miles or one year whichever comes first. When used with other brands of motor oil or full-flow filters, the EaBP Filter should be changed every other full-flow filter change. AMSOIL recommends using oil analysis when extending oil drain intervals.

AMSOIL recommends changing the EaBP120 every other full-flow filter change up to 90,000 miles or one year whichever comes first. Extended oil drain intervals should always be accompanied by an oil analysis program.

Increased Oil Capacity
The increased fluid system capacity and filtration life provides improved oil cooling and ensures that equipment constantly runs on clean oil. Engine efficiency is increased, providing extended engine life.

Soot Removal
AMSOIL has designed a high-efficiency by-pass filter element that is also a soot removal device. AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters use a synthetic/cellulose sandwiched media. The inner layer of the element is composed of a highly efficient cellulose media covered with a full synthetic media outer layer. These filters remove 39 percent of soot contaminants less than one micron. Soot removal efficiency increases approximately 10 to 14 percent when the EaBP Filter is used in conjunction with a standard full-flow filter.

By-Pass Filtration Benefits

• Dramatically Extended Drain Intervals • Improved Oil Cooling • Increased Filtration Capacity and Life • Increased Fluid System Capacity • Efficient Small Particle and Soot Removal • Significantly Extended Engine Life • Equipment Constantly Runs on Clean Oil • Increased Engine Efficiency • Remove Particles Less Than One Micro

Dual Remote Filter System
The AMSOIL Dual Remote Oil Filtration System converts an engine’s full-flow oil filter system into a full-flow/by-pass oil filtration system by attaching an AMSOIL Full-Flow Oil Filter and AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Oil Filter onto a remote mount. The Dual Remote System provides superior filtration efficiency, increased oil capacity and improved oil filtration accessibility. See the G1092 brochure for more info on the Dual Remote Filtration System.
